In 2002, I-Access Solutions first developed eTEAMS – Education & Training e-Administration Management System, a complete and integrated Web Services-enabled ERP and CRM solution for providers in the Education and Training industry, with a grant under the Innovation Development Scheme (IDS) from the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. In its 6th iteration, eTEAMS V6 is now a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf solution which can be hosted on-premises or delivered as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). It is also the ONLY Training Management System that is integrated with SkillsFuture Singapore’s backend systems.
eTEAMS V6 is designed specifically to meet the requirements of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and the Committee for Private Education (CPE). For example, it addresses the demand of the various SSG funding schemes as well as generates student contracts and complies with CPE Fee Protection Scheme. With its integration to SSG’s backend systems, many tedious laborious manual tasks are now automated, translating to less errors, increased productivity and happier Users.
Being modular in design, the different modules of eTEAMS V6 can be easily combined and integrated to cater to the unique requirements of different education & training organizations. Functionalities may be enhanced at later stages by adding other optional modules. This scalability protects our clients’ investment in eTEAMS V6.
eTEAMS V6 is very User-centric and User-friendly; allowing Users in all their different roles to fulfil their responsibilities with minimal supervision and intervention i.e. the concept of User Self-service is inherent in eTEAMS V6 system design. It also means than there is no need for exhaustive training programmes for the users.
It is also designed to allow Users to configure the processing rules for some of the business processes. For example in the Funding Management module, Users have the flexibility to configure the funding administration process to include or exclude funding as well as to setup and manage different types of funding (such as Grant, Subsidy and Sponsorship).
The Billing and Collection module in eTEAMS V6 continues to have the double entry bookkeeping system, allowing Users to trace back to the journal and transaction source document for each debit and credit transaction, thus preserving an audit trail. A new function is also added in this module to allow Users to export the journal entries to Microsoft Excel files, allowing Finance Users to import these Excel files to any accounting software. This eliminates duplicate data entry and hence the errors associated with manual data entry.
More importantly, eTEAMS V6 marks the realignment of our business focus from turn-key projects providing customized School Management Systems to providing a standard generic Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Software. As such, our development & enhancement efforts will not be diluted across the different clients’ versions but will be concentrated on a single standard version. This translates into tremendous manpower (for development & maintenance personnel) cost savings and faster project turnaround. For our clients, it means more and better functionalities and features as well as a more robust and stable system with the passage of time as we continuously and continually enhance our COTS Software.
We have been given a Capability Development Grant by SPRING Singapore to configure eTEAMS V6 as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to address the needs of Training & Education providers for an affordable, scalable & elastic Training/School Management System.
eTEAMS V6 SaaS is a pay-as-you-use all-inclusive subscription based solution that includes software license, hosting, support and maintenance. It allows our clients to completely outsource their School Management System to I-Access Solutions and to focus on their primary business function of providing quality programmes and excellent customer service.
